My favorite aspects of the Lead Marketplace pillar were the practical applications of the sessions we had. We didn’t just learn how to do great C.V.s or LinkedIn profiles or successfully do interviews but we implemented it immediately and got feedback with every iteration we did. I really enjoyed the physical meetups as well, it was great being around like-minded people and this even birthed several projects and businesses with our squad mates and cohort mates. Another great aspect was the soft skills we learnt like networking and influence. It was eye-opening on just how much of a large role it plays in the workplace. Understanding how my executive presence is what leaves a lasting impression on others, and the culmination was working on my brand story and brand statement.

I believe anyone wanting to boost their workplace presence and skills or anyone wanting to adequately prepare to join the workplace needs to enroll and finish this program. (It will definitely stretch you beyond what you thought was possible). It doesn’t just teach all the tips and tricks you need, but there are mentors, leaders and colleagues who hold your hand and help you discover who you are as an individual in relation to the workplace. I didn’t realize the power of having a personal brand and subsequently the confidence in presenting my whole self till I joined this pillar. Moreover, I have learned the power of not only creating networks but maintaining them and offering value as well. I’ve learnt to not only be a consumer but in every situation to ask myself how can I add value in this space, how can I be a producer as well.
