Lapid Leaders Africa (LLA) is a non-profit organisation whose vision is to build a community of value-driven young leaders, dedicated to being solution-providers and change-makers across the African continent. We deliver a distinguished experience that provides world-class leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship education to Africa’s young outstanding talent.
At Lapid Leaders Africa, we believe in Africa, and in the potential of its young people. We believe that in the same way that Africa is replete with gold, diamonds and all sorts of precious stones, it is rich in young men and women ready to stand up, be counted, and make a difference – young men and women ready to be shaped into the gems this continent needs.

ABOUT the founder
Esther Mwaniki is the CEO and founder of Lapid Leaders Africa. She is passionate about development of people, processes and systems of organisations in Africa.
She enjoys working with and developing entrepreneurial leaders. In addition, she relishes tackling problems in start-ups and complex environments and helping organisations build the systems and structures that can support their growth.
She has served as an Assurance Manager in PWC Kenya and UK and as a Senior Manager in Guaranty Trust Bank Kenya.
She is currently serving as the only Kenyan and African woman selected to be an Obama Fellow in the cohort of global leaders and civic innovators. She was also selected from thousands of applicants across Africa, as the only 2020 fellow of the African Women in Public Service Fellowship by Oprah Foundation.

After six years of our existence as Lapid Leaders Africa, we are now preparing to re-imagine our own future as a youth accelerator. We see great promise and opportunity for us in the next five years, and this is largely predicated on and around our five strategic imperatives, or our 5Ps – Programs, Partnerships, Pan-African Network, Place of Resource and Processes.

Our Brand Story
Africa is the youngest and fastest growing continent in the world. The continent’s future will therefore be shaped by its young people who commit to question the status quo, think differently, innovate and build solutions that propel the continent forward.
Lapid is a place where curious thinkers are unleashed and encouraged to imagine new possibilities. It is a place for the ambitious, the spirited, the genuine, the hardworking young person. By providing training, mentoring and coaching to our young people, we expose our youth to countless perspectives so that they drive remarkable impact in the continent.
We believe that when young people are given the skills and experience necessary to build sustainable growth in their communities, they can drive the change that Africa needs. Lapid Leaders Africa ensures that the next generation of African leaders are prepared and empowered to succeed and drive change in Africa.
