LESLIE WANJIKU – LEAD AFRICA (COHORT 3)

“The Lead Africa Pillar has been very eye-opening and mostly engaging. It is a more mature pillar compared to Lead Self, where you are expected to take initiative in order to bring about the change in your spaces. You have to switch from a consumer mindset to a creator mindset.

We did a lot of work around adopting a builders mindset and read extensively on other existing builders. In this pillar you will hear a lot of Intrapreneurship, Entrepreneurship, and Civic engagement.

What I liked most about the Pillar is that it is not dictation. The mentors give you pointers and guidance on application and you are expected to apply the same in your respective spaces. When you take up the pillar, pay attention to the moral imagination sessions which bring up a lot of engaging conversations. The sessions on this really stuck with me.

This is to encourage you to join the Pillar. You will look back and be happy you did.”
